Use Threshold & Alert on Failure for Backups that delay sending emails

Some products like Veeam do not send reports daily for backups like a continuous backup or there is a delay in sending reports.

To handle these backups you would want to use a few settings in conjunction:

For this case we will assume the following:

Your backup has a report being send a day after the backups ran and you do not want to see a no result status but do want to be alerted if a failure occurs.

The settings below will keep the backup in a warning status using the threshold. Alert on failure will allow us to get a ticket or email alert or show the backup as a failure if the result comes through as a failure before the threshold is met. The grouping in this example is set to Policy. This setting should match your Ticket Rule group setting or it will create duplicate tickets when your scheduled ticket settings run.
