By default, dashboards can be edited, viewed, and shared by anyone logged into your Backup Radar account. If you would like to restrict which logged in users can edit, view, and share a particular dashboard, follow the steps below to manage your dashboard permissions.
|
Who can use this feature? • Administrator users. • Standard users (who have been granted access). |
1. In Backup Radar, navigate to Dashboard and select a dashboard from the Dashboards drop-down menu.
2. At the top right, click Sharing.
3. By default, dashboards will have general access turned on. To restrict access, start by clicking Turn off general access.
4. Click Disable general access to restrict access and set yourself as the dashboard admin.
5. Click the Share with drop-down menu and choose the user(s) you'd like to grant permissions to.
6. Choose your desired permission level for your user(s):
a. Viewer: View-only access.
b. Editor: Access to edit the dashboard tiles and layout.
c. Admin: Access to edit the dashboard tiles and layout and manage dashboard user permissions.
| Note: You can remove or change user permissions at any time by returning to this screen and either clicking the X next to a user's name or selecting a new permission level. |
7. If you would like to notify your users of this permissions change, select Notify via email, enter an optional message, and click Send.
8. Click Done to save your changes.
|
What's next? Now that you've set up your dashboard permissions, you may want to share your dashboard data with your colleagues and clients. See Sharing a dashboard for more details. |
