Well hello! Follow the steps below to create an integration between ServiceNow and Backup Radar.

Note: This article captures third-party steps and/or an interface that may have since been updated.
  1. In your Service Now account, create a user for the integration, or choose an existing one.

  2. Make sure that the user has the itil role assigned to it.

  3. Add the itil role to these ACLs (create them if they do not exist)
    Table Operation

    sys_journal_field create record
    sys_journal_field read record
    incident.* create record
    sys_choice.* read

    sys_choice.value read

  4. In Backup Radar, click Integration > PSA Integration.
Click Integration and select PSA Integration.png

  5. Under the PSA Integration tab, click Configure.
    Under PSA Integration click Configure.png

  6. From the PSA Integration drop-down menu, select ServiceNow.
    Select Service Now.png

  7. Enter the required information and click Next Step on each screen.

  8. When you are ready to proceed, select Confirm Integration.

You're done! When you see Completed.png next to the Ticketing Source section, this indicates that your company sync has completed and your PSA has been integrated successfully.

What’s next?

Now that you've set up your PSA application, your next step is to set up your ticketing defaults. See Setting up Ticketing Defaults for step-by-step instructions on how to do this.
