Hi! Follow the steps below to create an integration between Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) and Backup Radar.

Who can use this feature?
• Administrator users.
• Standard users (who have been granted access).

What you'll need:
• Access to Veeam Service Provider Console REST API.

This API integration currently supports some, but not all, Veeam backups. See the table below for a list of what is supported. For backups that are not listed in the table below, follow the instructions in the following article to set up email notifications at the agent level: Integrating with Veeam Backup and Replication Email Notifications.

Supported Veeam Backups

• Backup Agent jobs
• Backup Copy jobs
• Backup Server Agent jobs
• Backup Tape jobs
• Backup VM jobs
• File Share jobs
• File to Tape jobs
• Immediately Backup Copy Jobs
• Replication VM jobs
• Protected VM backups
• Simple Backup Copy Jobs
• Veeam 365 backups

Note: This article captures third-party steps and/or an interface that may have since been updated.
  1. Log in to Veeam Service Provider Console (for details on how to do this, see Accessing Veeam Service Provider Console). Make a note of the link for later in these steps.

Note: This link will look similar to the following: https://vspc.cloudprovider.com:1280, with your company name in place of "cloudprovider" and "vspc" potentially replaced with "ac", "Veeam-Provider", or another variation depending on how long you've been a VSPC user.

  2. Configure and make note of a Simple API Key (note: an Advanced API key will not work for this integration). For details on how to do this, see: Configuring Simple API Key.

  3. In Backup Radar, click Integration > Backup Integrations.
    Integration and select Backup Integrations.png

  4. Click the + button on the Veeam tile.
Click + Button on the Veeam Tile.png

  5. Enter the following information and click Save:
    a. Profile Name: Name the profile anything you would like.
    b. Availability Console Link: Paste your Availability Console Link (also known as Veeam Service Provider Console URL).
    c. API Key: Paste your API token.
    Create Veeam Source.png

Following a successful integration, you'll be returned to the Backup Integrations tab, where you will see your new integration source.

What's next?

Shortly, your backups should start populating in your Manage > Activate Backups screen and syncing hourly.

This is a beta, so we encourage you to join the conversation in our Veeam API Integration Beta Group!
