Hello! In Backup Radar, reports are helpful for sharing backup data either internally (with your boss or colleagues) or externally (with your customers).

In this article, we'll take you through the steps for generating an On Demand report.

Who can use this feature?
• Administrator users.
• Standard users (who have been granted access).

Before you begin:
• Make sure to activate your backups.

  1. In Backup Radar, navigate to Reporting > On Demand.

Backup Reports: These reports capture data from the Audit page or Daily Activity page related to the performance of your backup results.
      For Templates & Standalone Backups
        a. Backup Detail Report: Captures detailed backup performance data.
        b. Backup Overview Report: Captures high-level backup performance data.
        c. Monthly Backup Report: Captures high-level backup performance data, based on the previous month's data.
        d. Weekly Backup Report: Captures high-level backup performance data, based on the previous 7 days of data.
      For Backup Plans
Daily Activity Detail Report (currently only available for Backup Plans beta users, but coming soon for all Partners):
Captures detailed backup performance data. These reports can come in handy for client audits.
Daily Activity Overview Report (currently only available for Backup Plans beta users, but coming soon for all Partners):
Captures high-level backup performance data. These reports can be suitable for regularly sharing with clients.
Compliance Reports: These reports capture account activity related to three specific compliance actions: Remediate, restore, and verify.
If you may be required to produce evidence of your efforts to remediate, restore, and verify your backups, you can do this by first manually remediating, restoring, and verifying your backups and then generating these reports as needed.
      e. Remediation Exception Report: Captures non-remediated backup results, based on yesterday's data.
      f. Remediation Result Report: Captures remediated backup results, based on yesterday's data.
      g. Restore Result Report: Captures restored backup results, based on yesterday's data.
      h. Verification Exception Report: Captures unverified backup results, based on yesterday's data.
      i. Verified Results Report: Captures verified backup results, based on yesterday's data.
Administrative Reports: These reports capture data related to account maintenance and the performance of your Backup Radar account. Administrative reports are not date-dependent.
      j. Activation Report: Captures inactive backups that need to be activated.
      k. Backup List Report: Captures your full list of devices per company, as well as a device type usage summary.
      l. Backup Parsing Report: Captures emailed backup results that Backup Radar was unable to pull data from.
      m. Escalation Report: Captures backups that have exceeded the threshold of your escalation criteria.
      n. PSA Configuration Exception Report: Compares the devices and companies in Backup Radar with the configurations in the PSA system and displays configurations that don't match.
      o. PSA Configuration Match Report: Compares the devices and companies in Backup Radar with the configurations in the PSA system and displays configurations that match.
  2. Generate with Defaults: To generate a report with its default settings, select this option. Note that the default settings are the same as what you would see if you selected Generate with Filters and didn't change any settings.

Generate with Filters: To customize your preferred data filters (date range, backups, clients, etc.) for your report, select this option, configure your report data as needed, and click Generate.

If there's a particular report that you find you need to produce regularly, check out Setting up scheduled reporting to set up a scheduled report and avoid generating them manually every time.
