Backup Radar prevents users with company restrictions from accessing the Integrations page, even when the relevant Integrations permission is enabled for their permission group.
This behavior protects company data because the Integrations page contains information that can apply to all companies in the Backup Radar account. For example, Integrations > Mailboxes provides access to tenant-wide raw inbound email.
How permissions and company restrictions work
Permissions determine which features a user can access. Company restrictions determine which company data a user can access.
A user with company restrictions can access only data for their assigned companies. Because Integrations contains tenant-wide information, Backup Radar does not make the page available to company-restricted users.
The permission can still appear enabled because permission settings and company assignments are managed separately. For example, the same permission group can be assigned to both company-restricted and unrestricted users. The restriction applies to the user’s effective access, even when the permission is enabled for the group.
What to check when Integrations is unavailable
Check whether the user has company restrictions.
If the user has company restrictions, the unavailable Integrations page is expected behavior.
If the user needs access to Integrations, review whether company restrictions are appropriate for that user. The user must also have the required Integrations permissions.
